Over the long weekend I headed back to my beloved home town of Auckland, and further north to Whangarei. The main purpose for the visit was a close friend's wedding but I also got to fit in some quality time with my favourite people and my favourite eating spots.
Here is a little photo journey of the trip, from soaring over the sunsets in the plane to brunch with the gorgeous Sophieat Little Bird unbakery with its delicious matcha and amazing plant inspiration. After this, we then joined some other friends for more eats in our old haunts at Mount Eden Village.
After lots of Auckland hangs I headed North to Gulf Harbour with my best friend. The sunsets over the water were amazing and it was such a treat wandering the golden lit marinas. This is one of the most peaceful places I know.
On Saturday and Sunday I spent most of my time in Whangarei setting up for a close friend's wedding. I helped with the styling and set up and it was so much fun to work with friends creating beauty and playing with decor and floral set up.
After all the hustle and bustle it is great to be back home and settled in my routines. I have a huge book stack that I am working through on my bedside table and will have to do some book reviews of my top picks. There are also some recipes I have been working on so keep an eye out for some delicious mains on the blog.
