Recently I have had a lot of fun in the kitchen experimenting with recipe and gaining inspiration from others blogs, YouTube’s and recipe books. Today I decided to make
Deliciously Ella’s amazing ganache cake, but modified it as a brownie and topped it with figs. It was delicious.
The internet and print world is filled with talented kitchen maestros who create inspirational nourishing recipes which taste and look gorgeous - and I have a few favourites. I thought today I would share my favourites because they have significantly influenced the way I cook today.
Purchasing 'Green Kitchen Travels' and getting into David and Luise's blog revolutionised the way I looked at vegetarian cooking. They create simple yet out of the box recipes which are easy to follow and always taste good. Both their blog and books also largely accommodate for vegans a gluten free consumers. Try their yoga pot and chilli for the ultimate comfort food.
I think of these guys as the positive voice of plant based/vegan lifestyle on the internet. Even though Craig and I don't eat fully plant based we try to maximise our vegetable intake and love this channel’s infectious fun, their delicious recipes and their always informative videos. Try their amazing pumpkin soup for an excellent winter warmer.
Deliciously Ella is a great source for the occasional sweet treat with healthy plant based ingredients. Every once in a while when we want a chocolatey treat I head to her YouTube for inspiration. The above picture is my brownie version of her chocolate ganache cake topped with figs. I highly recommend it.
I discovered the talented and inspiring Clare Mountain on Instagram and have since fallen in love with her blog. She is the queen of porridge recipes and her page has such a positive energy. Check it out for delicious healthy food and yoga inspiration.
I am excited to share we got a better camera this week so the quality of blog images should be a bit better. Where do you seek recipe and food inspiration? What are your favourite blogs and recipe books?
